Which Route?

There is not just one 'Camino de Santiago' but many waymarked routes throughout Europe all converging on the city named after the Apostle St. James and known as Santiago de Compostela. This map illustrates the 12 main waymarked routes with the Camino Francés [number 1] being the most popular. All other routes merge into it with the exception of the Camino Portugues [9], Camino Finisterre [10] and Camino Inglés [11]. Basic details (distances and estimated walking times) of all 12 routes are available with each guide book.

1 week: Camino Fisterra (Finisterre) and return via Muxía.
2 weeks: Camino Portugués
3 weeks: Camino Portugués and Camino Fisterra (combined)
4 weeks: Camino Francés
5 weeks: Camino Francés and Camino Fisterra (combined)
